The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) would like to advise of a proposed aerial shooting program targeting deer and pigs in parts of Kosciuszko National Park. The area will be closed for a period of 4 days between Monday 13 November 7 am to Friday 1 December 7 pm 2023 (excluding weekends).
There will be a partial closure of Kosciuszko National Park covering walking tracks and surrounding areas within the shoot area. This will be highlighted through signage at the start of those walking tracks as well as promotion on the NPWS website and at Visitor Information Centres. A further notification two weeks prior will be sent to recipients of this e-mail.
The following will be closed for an aerial pest control operation for a period of 4 days between 7 am Monday 13 November to 7 pm Friday 1 December 2023 (excluding weekends):

NOTE: areas south of the Alpine Way, Main Range Walk, Summit Walk, Summit Trail and Kosciuszko Walk will remain open
