Welcome to PXC NEWS & the NOVEMBER WORK PARTY NOTICE (the first of several for Summer 2022-2023)

Having fun on the pole-line....

WINTER WORK ISN’T QUITE DONE YET! PERISHER XC WORK PARTIES 2022-2023 DATES & OTHER NEWS

AND SO WE ARRIVE AT THE END OF WINTER – an extremely early start, constant cover and snow to the end interspersed with a few extreme weather events. Who could ask for more?

Thoughts are now turning to summer which brings the inevitable Perisher XC Work Parties, starting at 9am on November 5-6. Assistance is needed at this work party to finalise the winter, especially pulling up and putting the water-mitigation bridge covers and half-pipes away and patrolling the pole lines. Lots of hands make these jobs easy. If you plan to attend (2 days, 1 day or part of a day) please contact Peter Ward (nswxc1@gmail.com). Bring clothing for all weather including gum boots and personal work safety equipment (gloves, goggles, earmuffs, etc). You might not need them, but good to be prepared.

Accommodation will be provided FOC for work partiers at Canberra Alpine Club Jindabyne (thank you CAC). Bring bed linen, towels, food, drink. Contact Peter Cunningham (peter.petercunningham@gmail.com) to confirm your accommodation.

REJUVENATING THE NSWACT XC COMMITTEE

The NSWACT XC Committee is looking for interested members of the XC community to apply to join the Committee in any of the areas that the group has interests in – Infrastructure (the trails and the Nordic Shelter), Events (local competition and activities), Athlete Development (training programs) and Media/Marketing.
